M Aerospace RTC: Austin-Based Startup Specialized In Metal 3D Printing

Updated: Jan 23, 2023

Founded in 2018 in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, M Aerospace launched its operations in the United States in August 2021 when it joined the International

Accelerator.

M Aerospace RTC is an IA portfolio company focused on developing the next generation of affordable, large 3D metal printers in a rapidly growing industry.

After winning the Santander Global X Award (Startup Building competition), the Engineering Innovators of the Year award, and being named a finalist at the Mass Challenge and Rice Business Competitions, M Aerospace moved its headquarters to Austin in 2021 and launched its operations in the US market.

M Aerospace’s unique value proposition lies in their patented metal 3D printer, "Armdust 2.0" and its ability to print large metal parts (up to 6.5ft x 6.5ft) while also combining novel metals such as aluminum and nickel on a single part through their additive manufacturing process. Besides the sale of 3D printers, M Aerospace also offers contract manufacturing services, 3D modelling and prototyping, and direct sale of more than 30 printing materials. Through their Augmented Reality app customers can get frictionless online quotations, real-time tracking of their order, and ongoing guidance on the latest 3D printing technologies and on how to use their printers.

M Aerospace is growing at more than 200% year-over-year, and its co-founder and CEO Juan Munguia (an Aeronautical engineer with a Master's degree in Aerospace Design and a Forbes 30 under 30 nominee) is closing a funding round through SeedInvest which has raised almost $350,000 at an $8,000,000 valuation.
